A very satisfying first visit. Foie gras as a starter, tripe and calf's head ravigote, gourmet coffee, profiteroles! Excellent, pleasant service. A very good place to recommend. It seems wise to book ahead as it was full.

A magnificent address in the heart of Limoges. Located next to the market halls in the city center, a stone's throw from the Boucherie district, this restaurant is easily accessible... with underground parking nearby. If you're looking for healthy, authentic, high-quality food in a unique setting... then "Chez Alphonse" is the place for you. The staff is top-notch, the place is impeccably clean, and the dishes are truly excellent... eating there makes you feel like a true Limoges local... however, as with any restaurant of this caliber, reservations are highly recommended. Go for it and enjoy!

I came here by chance and it ended up becoming my canteen for 3 months, a wide choice of brasserie dishes that are nice to find on a restaurant menu and the setting is in keeping with this atmosphere.

Duck breast was to die for, perfectly cooked; the dauphinoise potatoes were excellent; and to finish, the chocolate mousse was light and airy; the service was top-notch. I highly recommend it.

What a disappointment! No more calf's liver on a Sunday lunchtime (I think the market is nearby...). I didn't find the taste or atmosphere of the real Alphonse. Too bad, we won't be back.

22/03/2026: A very good restaurant; the food, the service, everything was perfect! There wasn't a children's menu, however, a solution was quickly found: fish or hamburger and homemade fries! I sincerely thank the restaurant manager who made sure my child had a good meal. I highly recommend it.
09/03/2026: I absolutely loved this restaurant! The cuisine is refined, the flavors are explosive, and each dish is a culinary journey. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, and the servers' recommendations are invaluable. The atmosphere is elegant and intimate. Every bite is pure pleasure. Flawless! I recommend it 200% without hesitation! 🙂
