I was very pleasantly surprised by the menu and the generous portions!
Truly authentic local dishes! Delicious, and the servers were fantastic! I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

A good restaurant in the center of Limoges, inspired by old-fashioned inns. Good meat and desserts. Friendly and helpful staff.

Overall, a decent place where the food and service are good. However, the parfait for dessert was a bit of a letdown.
Regarding the service, there was a clear difference between the servers: the waitress was warm and attentive, while her colleague was noticeably more distant.
A minor drawback is the prices, especially the drinks: 10 euros for a 50cl bottle of Affligem is hard to justify.

A very satisfying first visit. Foie gras as a starter, tripe and calf's head ravigote, gourmet coffee, profiteroles! Excellent, pleasant service. A very good place to recommend. It seems wise to book ahead as it was full.

A magnificent address in the heart of Limoges. Located next to the market halls in the city center, a stone's throw from the Boucherie district, this restaurant is easily accessible... with underground parking nearby. If you're looking for healthy, authentic, high-quality food in a unique setting... then "Chez Alphonse" is the place for you. The staff is top-notch, the place is impeccably clean, and the dishes are truly excellent... eating there makes you feel like a true Limoges local... however, as with any restaurant of this caliber, reservations are highly recommended. Go for it and enjoy!

I came here by chance and it ended up becoming my canteen for 3 months, a wide choice of brasserie dishes that are nice to find on a restaurant menu and the setting is in keeping with this atmosphere.
