The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere, and the price-quality ratio is more than fair. I highly recommend it because, in addition to the delicious food, the staff and the owner are incredibly welcoming 👍

Excellent little restaurant, pleasant service, and above all, well-prepared traditional cuisine, especially the appetizers. I ordered cod with a special request (served by the chef). The fries were homemade, as was the excellent barbecue sauce. When a place delivers on fish orders… everything else is often of high quality. No wonder the restaurant is packed! 😉

For the past few years, this has been our regular stop on a route we frequently travel. A very warm welcome (try to book ahead), friendly and efficient service, and excellent value for money. The cuisine is home-style but with some good ideas. The chef always comes to the dining room to greet his customers and get their feedback, which has always been positive in our experience. The decor is fairly ordinary, and the large appetizer buffet doesn't change much, but this doesn't lower our rating. We recommend it.

A friendly welcome awaited us at this small, simple restaurant, popular with locals at lunchtime. And rightly so: the quality is excellent, and the price is reasonable. The service is quick and efficient. I can happily recommend it! Reservations are recommended if possible.

On the way back from vacation. A dinner break at this restaurant. Homemade, generous portions, very pleasant staff. There's a charging station in the parking lot. I recommend it.

04/07/2026: Perfect!! I wish this were the standard.
28/06/2026: This is the second time my wife and I have eaten lunch here. It's easily one of the top six gourmet restaurants in the Aube region, along with Auberge de Sainte Maure, Au Bois du Bon Séjour, Au Petit Basson, L'Oxalys, and O des Lys. Le Garde Champêtre is a beautiful establishment, a superb renovation of a former train depot. The cuisine is fresh, flavorful, and inventive. The wine list is magnificent. The service is impeccable, just the right amount of attention. The chefs clearly enjoy their work, and it shows in the food. Bravo! We will be back.
