This Sunday at lunchtime we ate at this very good restaurant, with a warm welcome and very pleasant service. If you are passing through Amboise, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We felt very comfortable at Bruno's. Authentic French cuisine with friendly service, right next to the royal palace. Highly recommended.

Their service and food were truly excellent. We dined there twice, for dinner and lunch. I especially loved their duck and mushroom stew for dinner, and the red wine beef stew for lunch the following day is highly recommended.

The food is good, no complaints there. However, the service is a major drawback. You really get the feeling that the service is rushed, lacking attention to detail, and clearly "done on the fly." The tables are crammed together, explanations are nonexistent, and there's no real attempt to share the restaurant's atmosphere. This is all the more disappointing because the owner is a winemaker himself: it's precisely this kind of story that could make the experience truly local and interesting. But the service needs to showcase it. Ultimately, the service feels more like a tourist trap where the focus is on filling tables than a genuinely good local establishment. It's a shame, because the food is good and the potential is clearly there.

Hello, On August 15, 2026, we ate kidneys. I only ever eat them at my partner's mother's house, and I've never been disappointed. The food isn't bad in itself. Just one minor issue with the kidneys we ordered. They were cooked perfectly, pink as they should be. When that's the right cooking method for you... Only the preparation wasn't quite right! They were very sinewy, as you can see in the photo. I explained everything to the restaurant owner. On the other hand, the service was impeccable.

A very good experience. Located at the foot of the Saint Hubert chapel, it might seem like a tourist trap, but what a pleasant surprise! Quality ingredients at an affordable price: €23. The waitress was excellent. Special mention to the owner's beer and wine.
