It's been a long time since I've enjoyed paying my restaurant bill so much; it was absolutely fantastic, nothing to complain about: the welcome, the service, the food, the wine—thank you so much!

The Périgord salad left much to be desired in terms of freshness and quality of ingredients; I doubt the foie gras was homemade, and the gizzards were tough and not hot.

We had a fantastic meal! Our last evening near Hautefort, we booked a table at Chez Cathy, a small restaurant on the village square, where we simply had a wonderful time! They even had a children's menu for our 8-year-old, which was served quickly (finally, restaurant owners who get it! They serve the kids first!). The homemade chicken tenders were absolutely delicious! At least, that's what our daughter thought, but we tasted them and we agree! Homemade fries were also included, so we couldn't resist. For us, we shared a small local foie gras as a starter with a nice glass of Montbazillac wine. This was followed by a generous Périgord salad, a Charolais sirloin steak of incredible tenderness with a homemade shallot sauce... a real treat. And the service was incredibly friendly, with little explanations about the origin of the products. Strangely enough, when you're polite and kind to people, they're kind in return 👀 (that's for those unpleasant comments). And to top it all off, a generous dessert! In short, you can go there without hesitation!
