The food was incredibly generous, it was excellent! We had the €32 set menu and I highly recommend the porcini mushroom omelet, it was amazing. Everything was delicious, we loved it!

Delights for our taste buds with each course: the omelet with ceps delighted us, the enchaud (pork) won us over (it was unknown to us, so we preferred it to the duck confit) and the dessert dazzled us...

The only positive point is the setting: the inn boasts a beautiful location at the foot of the magnificent Hautefort castle, with tasteful decor. Unfortunately, everything else falls far short. The welcome was simply nonexistent: we waited over 10 minutes before a waitress came to ask if we had a reservation. Despite our confirmation, she didn't even check our requests and tried to seat us on the terrace, even though we had explicitly asked for the dining room. We had to insist heavily to get our request granted, even though the restaurant was far from full. The rest of the experience proved just as unpleasant. The owner took our order in a rush: clearly very hurried, without a smile, without patience, and without offering any advice. Good humor was definitely lacking. As for the service, we had to ask for our drinks while our food was already arriving, then wait indefinitely for dessert while the empty tables nearby were finally being cleared. We don't recommend it; there are better options nearby.
