I've been to this establishment several times. I've always had a good meal there. Today, July 21, 2026, I was very disappointed. The bread was very, too, dry. I had a hamburger with a tiny side salad. The hamburger bun wasn't great. The sauce was rather bland and lacked any real flavor. Finally, the fries were dry and sometimes burnt. I didn't dare order dessert for fear of being disappointed, even though they used to be so good (for example, in the fall of 2024, a delicious chestnut cream dessert). What's going on now? I don't know. I hope and wish that the food at this establishment will regain its former glory. It's up to them to rise to the challenge.

First time at this restaurant! There were 20 of us, and the welcome was normal! We had drinks on the terrace, then dinner inside! 35 euros (drinks, white, red, and rosé wines, still and sparkling water)! The meal was good, the apple tart dessert was very good with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, and to finish, coffee! The service was very good! The only thing that could be considered negative (but nothing serious) is that today it's over 30 degrees Celsius outside, and there's no air conditioning in the restaurant, only the doors open, and I was very hot! But I'll be back!!!

During an evening in Besançon, I particularly enjoyed this restaurant for its warm atmosphere and decor, impeccable and courteous service, and excellent cuisine. It was busy, but the noise level was perfectly acceptable. The service was excellent, neither too fast nor too slow—just the right amount of time to fully appreciate the food. I will definitely return on my next visit. The menu is varied and apparently updated quite frequently. The value for money is very good. In short, I highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful meal at Chez Elle et Lui, a great restaurant with a lovely interior. The portions were generous and delicious, and the profiteroles were superb. The daily special was excellent value for money. And the manager was very pleasant and friendly.

28/08/2026: Go and try some delicious cakes at BAUD! That's what a friend told me when I asked her for a good place to find pastries in Besançon. She was absolutely right, and I'm very grateful for this excellent recommendation. You absolutely must try their "Castel" cake! That said, don't get me wrong: all their cakes looked very tempting.
30/07/2026: Quite frankly, the best pastry shop in all of Besançon. No complaints whatsoever, what a pleasure to have such good products.

The staff were friendly, although there was a bit of a wait due to how busy the restaurant was, which was understandable. Here’s a summary of their menu. I hope it helps someone decide what to order! 🥩 Meat * Pièce du boucher – Butcher’s cut of beef (around 160 g) served with shallot sauce, baby potatoes and vegetables. Often one of the best choices. * Suprême de poulet – Chicken breast with a traditional Jura Vin Jaune (yellow wine) sauce, baby potatoes and vegetables. A great regional specialty. * Canard rôti – Roasted duck with a honey and rosemary sauce, served with vegetables and baby potatoes. A great choice if you enjoy duck. * Côte de bœuf – A large 400 g bone-in rib steak served with salad and baby potatoes. Perfect if you have a big appetite. 🐟 Fish * Saint-Jacques à la plancha – Pan-seared scallops with chorizo cream, vegetables and baby potatoes. The most refined dish on the menu. * Poisson du moment – Fresh fish of the day served with vegetables and baby potatoes. 🥗 Lighter options * Salade océane – Salmon served with salad and fresh vegetables. * Salade comtoise – A traditional Franche-Comté salad with Morteau smoked sausage, bacon, Comté cheese, walnuts and fresh vegetables.
