A must-visit in Savoie. Located at the Col du Joly between the resorts of Les Contamines-Montjoie and Haute-Luce. Large terrace, regional cuisine. Dish of the day €30. Excellent desserts. Expect to pay €45-55 including drinks. Magnificent view of the Mont Blanc massif. And after lunch in summer, a 1 hour 15 minute hike to the Col de la Fenêtre offers a breathtaking view of the roof of Europe.

Superb view and great welcome for a drink, but go easy on the prices... Altitude or not, these aren't the usual prices for slopeside restaurants... perhaps the lack of competition is a factor.
