I would give this 6 stars if I could. The service was outstanding - a full restaurant managed by a single person, who was absolutely charming and never appeared to be in a hurry. The food was excellent - the best we had over a 9-day trip to France. Definitely 6 stars

On our return from vacation, stop at Beaugency with an excellent dinner at Henri II.
Refined cuisine, excellent dishes, beautiful atmosphere, service a little stressed but efficient.

Couldn't believe our luck to find a beautiful little place serving delicious French food on the quiet winding streets of Beaugency... with labelled vegan options on the menu! Starter was a courgette soup with lentils and vinaigrette, and the main was mashed potatoes and roast veg with creamy sauce. It wasn't 'fake meat' French food like you can get in Paris etc, but just healthy, tasty, hearty food options, alongside other great vegetarian options and the usual for meat eaters. A real gem, would recommend to all.

It's good to see classically trained chefs showing their skills in this beautiful restaurant in regional , france , on the tour de loire. Having had the 2 course menu, main course and desert , it was purely the taste of france. Loved the choice of food through the menu. Our wine was also a good choice.
