Le Petit Bateau sur Beaugency

This is our second time at Le P'tit Bateau, and once again we were DELIGHTED by our Sunday meal. The dishes are first and foremost beautiful: a play of shapes, colors, and textures. They are veritable works of art, presented on plates that serve as exquisite showcases. For example, the Swiss chard displays a symphony of greens, ranging from the palest to the deepest brown, thanks to the searing of its stalks. The sauces, prepared over many hours, are served at the table, adding a final touch of color to the aroma. Much work goes into the preparation, resulting in dishes that reveal all the steps involved in the kitchen. The meats are astonishingly tender, with a wonderful texture and vibrant colors. The fish dishes are prepared to surprise and delight the palate. The desserts, conceived and crafted by the pastry chef, bring a touch of seasonal freshness to the meal. This time, it's the fruit that takes center stage. The flavors burst forth without sugar, pleasing the palate. A refined, delicate, and easily digestible cuisine served in a patio where the light enhances the food. One savors these delights of both the palate and the eye with gentle and charming pleasure. The young but professional service is attentive and meticulous. The conversation with the couple who run Le P'tit Bateau transported us on a journey along the Loire. We wish them a pleasant voyage on the waters of this royal river. The Michelin and Gault & Millau guides are flying high. And so, Le P'tit Bateau sails on!

A young establishment that's an absolute must-visit! A concise menu that showcases Loire Valley produce, which the chef elevates with creativity. Special mention goes to the attention to detail, right down to the selection of two excellent coffees from a local roaster. The team is motivated and welcoming. In conclusion, this is a truly exceptional restaurant that showcases local produce while reinterpreting it in a culinary style—highly recommended.

This gourmet restaurant is located in a charming corner of Beaugency. The first impression is good (setting, decor, welcome). The cuisine is inventive. The downsides: all the main courses arrived lukewarm. The red wine ordered at the beginning of the meal (Chinon) arrived at 24 degrees Celsius! I pointed this out to the head waitress, who tried to justify it. This is not the expected behavior in a gourmet restaurant. The Champagne ordered as an aperitif should have been served in glasses in front of the customers. The canapés accompanying the Champagne arrived when the Champagne was almost finished. I regret that the chef didn't come to the dining room. I hope these comments help you improve.

We had dinner here and overall it was good, though not exceptional. My wife’s main course felt a bit too simple for the aspiration (tagliatelle with fennel). While we’ve had better dining experiences elsewhere, the restaurant clearly has potential and seems to be heading in the right direction.

We came to eat at the P'tit Bateau restaurant, a gift from our children. The cuisine was refined and excellent; everything was perfect. The terrace is on a quiet street near the Loire River, and we received a very warm welcome. We highly recommend it.
