Chez Jean Pierre sur Vivario

Meat was freshly grilled but unfortunately there was not much beef on the skewer and it wasn't exactly tender either. Add a few leaves of lettuce and some potatoes. Together with a 0.25 cola and a double espresso for € 25,- Staff is nice and the coffee was very good I travel a lot around the world... I know what an island price is, but I've also eaten cheaper and better on islands... but also worse... So I don't recommend it, but I don't regret it either

En montant vers Venaco pour rejoindre notre étape, nous avons traversé le petit village de Vivario... où un panneau avec inscrit "cuisine au brasero" m'a interpellé. Le soir, au moment de choisir un endroit où se restaurer, ce panneau m'est revenu en mémoire. Je n'avais pas noté le nom de l'établissement mais Google Street m'a permis de l'identifier. Déjà au téléphone, lorsque j'ai appelé pour réserver — tardivement de surcroit —, l'accueil fut chaleureux. Impression confirmée sur place ! Nous nous sommes régalés d'une nourriture saine à base de produits régionaux et d'une délicieuse grillade... au braséro donc, cuite de main de maître par Jean-Pierre lui-même et en personne !

Authentic and friendly, perfect welcome. The food is just incredibly good and Jean-Pierre, his wife and his entire team were TOP! Thank you for the tent location, I slept wonderfully one night there in a magical setting. This is Vivario, an exceptional village

Very characteristic environment. We had a very good time, friendly service despite speaking little Italian. They satisfied all our requests. All very good. We didn't get to photograph the desserts because they were shoveled out (apple pie and vanilla ice cream). Very good price, really very very cheap.

Excellent, great welcome, great atmosphere, family and very tasty cuisine, I recommend without worry, sooner twice than once!

Great discovery on our journey: very good local meats (notably the deliciously marinated pork spider), perfectly cooked in the brazier, accompanied by delicious vegetables... and friendly service. The portions are generous, offering very good value for money!

Nous sommes arrivés par hasard dans ce restaurasur notre route entre Ajaccio et Corte et ne le regrettons pas. Super viande au brasero cuite par Jean-Pierre: un regal. Accueil aimable et sympathique. Très bon repas très bon moment clôturé par 1 petite luqueur de myrthe.
