Very good restaurant at a reasonable price...very good and generous food...delicious ice cream...super friendly staff and no waiting...we had a very good time on the terrace in this beautiful village of Salers.

We came just to see Salers cheese.
And we stopped at the restaurant La Préfète and had a wonderful meal.
Everything was perfect: the quality, the quantity, the price, and the welcome.
A highly recommended place, without hesitation.

We came for dinner one evening and received a friendly welcome. It was very quiet when we arrived (off-season). The terrace is pleasant.
We enjoyed our meal: a beef steak and a burger. The presentation was lovely, and the ice cream sundaes were very nice.
Simple dishes, but well-presented. Good value for money.

A beautiful, sunny, and very mild Easter Tuesday morning allowed us to enjoy the uncrowded town of Salers. Around noon, a terrace caught our eye, as many tables were occupied, especially outside given the temperature. Perhaps an opportunity for a good lunch? And so it was, and a pleasant surprise indeed. The menus were interesting, and the à la carte options reflected this, featuring regional products and cuisine that truly represented local culinary traditions. The terrace itself was a delightful spot, overlooking the rich architecture of Salers, a magnificent and unmissable village. The prices were very reasonable. A lovely time.

We arrived during the off-season when few restaurants were open, and even though the dining room was nearly full and we hadn't made a reservation, they found us a cozy little table. The food was home-style and generous, and the service was warm and friendly.
