Excellent restaurant; the prices are very reasonable considering the quantity and quality. The menu is simple but very effective, and the dishes are delicious and generously portioned. The service is top-notch. The staff, although quite busy due to the large number of customers, are very pleasant and professional. It's everything you could want in a good restaurant.

Great find! We thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. Very good prices and excellent food. We'll definitely be back. We tried the salmon (5 out of 5 recommended), beef with fries (5 out of 5), ribs (4 out of 5), and snails (5 out of 5).

I think this is the best place to go, if you want a nice and kind service, good food and have a good feeling. The side bread could have been more fresh to my personal taste, but the food was very tasty and would definitely come back, if I'm in Versailles again. Would recommend to anyone.

A very warm welcome. The main course was generous and excellent. A really nice atmosphere. I'll definitely go back, and it's right next to the castle. The small terrace is also very pleasant.

In a party of 3 and we all loved our dishes. I had an absolutely divine foie gras pate which was so generously portioned it satisfied me as a main. The others loved their salmon and scallops. Wines were good and the coffee sorbet with liquor was a fantastic dessert (which I'd never tried before) - exactly what one wants at the end of a meal. This restaurant lined pedestrian street is the perfect spot in Versailles for dinner.

A very good restaurant that consistently delivers. There's a bit of a wait in the evening, but they offer a small kir while you wait to be seated outside. The octopus is excellent.

Crêperie la Place

15/09/2026: Where to begin?... Delicious crepes, a very pleasant, subdued atmosphere, especially perfect for warm September evenings. A truly warm welcome, thanks in large part to the waiter Arthur... His charisma and his ability to carry up to seven plates at once make you want to order a starter, main course, dessert (and even a coffee for the truly adventurous)!!!
12/09/2026: I came with my friend, and we ate on the terrace. Great location, great food, but the service left much to be desired! It took forever to serve us, and on top of that, dessert didn't arrive at the same time! My friend was served before me and was waiting for me so we could eat together! I had to get up several times to get the water we had asked for. And there was no compensation offered for the inconvenience either.

Le Bistrot de la Place

06/10/2026: Excellent service, and where my French isn't up to par, the waiter helps with his English! Definitely not a given in France. Delicious food and a menu just the way I like it, reasonably priced with top-notch flavor. Perfect. I'm not a fan of anything too fancy, but I prefer a convivial place away from the touristy, and that was Bistrot de la Place for me. Thank you 🫶🏻
28/09/2026: A very warm welcome. A varied and delicious menu; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Very reasonable value for money. A very pleasant waiter. The owner was truly very friendly. We had a lovely evening. A bistro we highly recommend. We will gladly return if we have the opportunity to come back to Versailles.
