Chez Lazare sur Versailles

A small meal for two on a Sunday around 2 pm, I think during the last seating. The service was very friendly, professional, and quick. We had a very annoying wasp, and our waitress found a fascinating technique to scare it away by burning coffee grounds. I learned a trick that works! For lunch, we ordered two large salads because they looked appetizing from the street. My salad was generous, but the gizzards were practically raw, so I didn't want to send it back. The foie gras was excellent, and the duck breasts were too. My only complaint is the very limited portion size... Yes, it's a salad, but there was really way too much salad, like, seriously (I don't go to Périgord to pretend I'm a rabbit 😅). I had two excellent blonde beers, and we shared a San Pellegrino. For dessert, I had French toast brioche, which was excellent! I work at the Palace of Versailles, and I would recommend the restaurant to visitors looking for good places to eat, even though I was disappointed by the salad... I will still come back to try something other than salads to revise my opinion.

Wonderful food in a restaurant with a fantastic welcome and impeccable service from Abdou. The fries are to die for, the salads too, and the profiterole! Wow! Thank you for this lovely culinary evening.

Great experience at Lazare's! 🙂😃 The foie gras was delicious and served in a generous portion. The beef bourguignon was flavorful and well-prepared. The gourmet coffee was the perfect ending to the meal with its lovely sweet treats. 🥰😋😋 I'll gladly return. I highly recommend this place! 🍽️😊

Excellent wood-fired grill restaurant with fish. Good menu, beautiful and unique setting on a pedestrian street. I've been a satisfied customer for years and always enjoy returning.

A very good little restaurant near the Palace of Versailles. At €35.50 for the set menu (starter, main course, dessert), you really get your money's worth. The portions are generous, and the food is cooked directly in the fireplace in the dining room. The restaurant isn't very big, but that's part of its charm. The staff is very friendly and attentive. You can go there without hesitation; you won't be disappointed.

The food was excellent (kudos to the chef) and the service was always friendly and helpful, although it was almost impossible to keep up during peak hours (8 pm). The Chardonnay was very good – only the music wasn't quite right and would have been better suited to a bar.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant tonight! It was a last-minute family reservation with children, and dining outside can be tricky, but the manager and the whole team made sure we had a great time outdoors as a family 🙏. The food was good quality, and they don't skimp on portions. There's a touch of humor in the menu, and children are very welcome and can even enjoy the coloring and crayon bowl provided. The food was delicious, and so was the wine. A nice little restaurant with friendly staff and fresh ingredients! Good value for money!

We didn't appreciate it, but the restaurant owners made a gesture of goodwill towards us.

Very good and very generous portions. And a fair price for the area. Honestly, very good.
