Chez Louisette sur Bareges

We had dinner here on Saturday, spending €74 for two small IPAs, one trout, one burger, and two desserts. The trout was fresh but lacked flavor and salt. The burger was good, but the side salad was bland. As for desserts, the pavlova was sour, and the entremet was served still frozen.

Excellent location, Excellent Steak, the shoulder of lamb was a bit tasteless and the chips are the worst chips I have ever seen in my life, potato peel soaked in duck fat and then fried.. Fix the chips please !!

We had a wonderful meal; the confit lamb was absolutely delicious, but everything was good, and the setting was very pleasant too. A very good place to eat.

A lovely surprise… after meeting the marmots!!! A very warm welcome, generous and delicious dishes, and a splendid setting. I highly recommend it and I will be back!

Pleasant setting, a very nice spot between two hiking sections! The prices are a bit high for the region and there's no vegetarian option offered, but overall we had a great time.

Lovely setting with a beautiful view of the mountains and the Pic du Midi de Bigorre. We chose garbure as our main course. It was very good but not quite enough for our taste (a duck confit leg, a sausage, but not many vegetables underneath). Disappointed compared to the same meal we had 7 or 8 years ago!

I came on holiday with four friends, and one of them said, "We have to eat at Louisette's." Well, I can confirm, if you're ever near Barèges, you absolutely must eat at Louisette's. The atmosphere is really lovely, the setting is beautiful, and the decor is really nice. The staff was very welcoming and incredibly patient. But the highlight is the food. I ordered the butcher's cut, which that day was a beautiful plate of Barèges lamb, served with fries. Every bite was excellent, to the point that by the end of my plate, I felt like the meal had lasted only two minutes. It was quite a generous portion, but it made you want to keep eating anyway, to the point that I hesitated between ordering a main course and dessert. But since my stomach was already quite full, dessert was enough. So I chose the entremet, and it was also extremely good. I have to admit, I've rarely eaten so well. Thank you so much to the team! I would be happy to come back and eat here again when I am in the area.
