Chez Marie sur La Rochelle

A restaurant like no other. Don't change a thing. It was delicious and the service was impeccable.

This restaurant was recommended to me. It's true that when I arrived in La Rochelle, I hadn't thought about eating Périgord specialties! But I didn't regret it because the food was excellent, and Marie and the young man were truly welcoming and friendly. This market is very pleasant, with its stalls and bar/restaurants. Pure bliss!

A warm and friendly welcome, as if we were having lunch with friends who were happy to welcome us. Beautiful, comforting dishes, high-quality products, and a beverage as charming as its name. A generous address to share. Thank you, Marie and her son. A nod to Rochefort and Berry.

We discovered this restaurant while walking through the market. Marie welcomed us with a smile into her family restaurant. The dining room was small but colorful and welcoming. We opted for three Périgord salads, a delight for both the eyes and the palate! Everything was homemade, and Marie recommended a very good wine to accompany our meal. On the door, it says "Here, the customer is elevated to the rank of friend," and that's exactly it; it's friendly and warm... What's more, we discovered at the end of the meal that Marie is from our town; it's a small world, as everyone knows. We'll definitely return the next time we're in La Rochelle.
