Chez Mario sur Saintes-Maries-De-La-Mer

I visited Chez Mario in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. The place is small and simple, barely noticeable from the outside, but it has a familiar and authentic atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pizzas are definitely the highlight: well-cooked, with a crispy, flavorful crust. The cuisine is also traditional Italian. I also really enjoyed the tiramisu, which was truly excellent. The prices are fair and the quality-price ratio is good, especially considering the location near the center and the sea. One note: since it's very popular, it's best to arrive early because the place is a bit small. Overall, I recommend it, especially for the truly excellent pizza.

We discovered this restaurant this weekend. Excellent Italian restaurant, top-notch pizzas. A very warm welcome. Everything is fresh, and as for the tiramisu, come and try it, you'll understand. We came twice over the weekend. Definitely worth checking out on your next trip to Les Saintes.

Passing through Sainte Marie de la Mer for a few days, we ate at Mario's. To be honest, the pizza was very, very good, the dough was perfect. It's so rare to find good pizza like this. A great place for lovers of good Italian pizza.

I live and work in Italy, I know real pizza… and believe me, I know what I'm talking about 🍕🇮🇹 (Married to a Sicilian and with an Italian mother, we've been eating pizza all our lives!) This place is in the top 5 pizzas I've ever eaten… even including Italian restaurants in Italy… and I'm not saying that lightly. The dough is perfectly risen, the cooking is impeccable, the ingredients are incredibly fresh, the toppings are perfectly balanced… a true delight with every bite. If you love authentic Italian pizza, this is the place to go. A huge congratulations to the whole team! I'll definitely be back whenever I want a delicious meal. 👌👏 The lighting was a bit too bright, though... it could use some lampshades over the bulbs... but this was more than compensated for by the warm welcome and the impeccable service.
