Chez Melac sur Paris

Locals know this is one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in the area. There's a bit of a wait, as the chef works alone, but it's worth it (the wait includes a little qingdao).

We walked all the way to the restaurant... searched "open" on Google. And when we arrived, the restaurant was closed...

Honestly, it's very rare to find ravioli this good. Special mention for their fennel ravioli (even if you don't like aniseed flavors, the fennel gives the filling a sublime aroma).

Best dumpling of the 11th. It's delicious 🫶

I found this restaurant while searching for a dumpling restaurant online, and I wasn't disappointed! There were two of us that evening, and several dumplings were on offer, all of which were very good. We ordered xiao long bao (pork and Chinese cabbage dumplings) and Qing Tao-style dumplings. We also ordered spring rolls and Peking duck, which were equally delicious. I also want to mention the Cantonese shrimp fried rice, which was simple but delicious. On the downside, I have to deduct one star for the atmosphere. There was no music, and it wasn't very busy, making the restaurant a bit too quiet. I also have to mention that the white rice wasn't quite up to the standard of a proper bowl of rice. Otherwise, we had a wonderful dinner, and we won't hesitate to return to try these delicious dishes again.

I was looking for a dumpling and Xiao Long Bao restaurant in eastern Paris. Probably one of the best dumpling/Xiao Long Bao restaurants I've tried in Paris, not to mention the unbeatable value for money. The dishes are very good, but I especially recommend the appetizers for a dumpling meal with friends and family. Probably one of my new regular spots in Paris.
