Good quality food, but excessively expensive

A locals boulangerie - and given we visited on a Sunday afternoon - where trade was relatively brisk. The cake selection was looking depleted by the time we arrived, however we found a choice selection with which to satisfy our afternoon craving. The Tarte Citron was sharp and lemony, the Chocolate Brownie was moist, and yes, tasted chocolatey. The Paris Eclair was well made choix pastry with a fondant filling. The two coffees were "au lait" and were average. Service was also average although the young waitress obliged by cleaning the outside table for us where we sat on the pavement. Overall a pleasant and tasty experience. I noted the Boulanger offers a wide selection of breads which looked tempting, and clearly did the job for the locals who arrived during our visit.

The traditional baguette is truly delicious, especially when it's warm! The selection of breads on offer is a real temptation. Everyone can find the perfect loaf. Sincere congratulations to the entire team who keep up the pace every day with a smile and great kindness, despite sometimes being very busy. However, I have a sweet tooth, so I don't understand why coffee pastries are banned. Goodbye opera cake and coffee éclairs... Why???? And the slice of flan is far too small for the price, even if it is delicious. I didn't try the slice of galette des rois, as the price was also prohibitive... I understand the increased costs and staffing expenses, however, simply by lowering the price of the pastries a little, the store would sell more, that's for sure, and thus compensate for the lost revenue and the empty displays in the evening!
