Simply brilliant. We were a large group, and they went out of their way to make sure we had enough space and were served fantastic food. They brought us lots of different dishes so that we could all try and share everything as a group.

Chez Nine is the type of local restaurant you always dream to find when visiting a new town. The food is like eating in a chef's home kitchen with everything cooked from scratch and the menu changes daily. Nine and her mum couldn't have been more kind. We had the best salad with local and fresh ingredients, incredible omelette and our daughter had a french style pizza that she loved. If coming from the main train station avoid the touristy restaurants before Palais des Papes and take a right and is a 2-3 minute walk. Nine and her mum gave us the best tip to go the jardins and then up on to the hill with the best view of the city and the Pont d'Avignon. Couldn't recommend this restaurant highly enough and can't wait to go back.

It was excellent in every way. I love the vintage style Every table is personalized with love. The owner cooks herself. Very very delicious! She and her mom serve with LOVE - thank you for the exceptional welcome!

A pure moment of bliss. Everything was perfect, from the attentive service and carefully sourced vintage cutlery to the generous, perfectly seasoned dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Thank you, because it had been a long time since we had encountered a restaurant of this caliber.

26/09/2026: Absolutely amazing dinner from start to finish! The food, atmosphere, and service were all outstanding. We started with the Burgundy escargots in garlic butter and herbs, and they were incredible—rich, buttery, garlicky, and exactly what you hope for when ordering escargot in France. For my main course, I had the Avignon-style beef daube, and it was fantastic. The beef was incredibly tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared—one of those dishes that feels like true Provençal comfort food. The service was warm and attentive, the atmosphere was charming, and the wine was wonderful. Everything about our evening at La Fourchette was memorable. One of our favorite meals of the trip and absolutely a restaurant we would return to when we’re back in Avignon. Highly recommend!
23/09/2026: We had dinner here and it was phenomenal!! Probably some of the best food we have ever eaten. My husband had the beef and I had the veal and we shared the escargot. The meat was so succulent, rich and full of flavor! The staff were very kind and professional. Highly recommend!!

17/08/2026: Excellent food at this restaurant located in the heart of Avignon. I wasn't as impressed with the dessert, but the service was adequate. We would gladly return.
15/08/2026: I highly recommend this lovely restaurant, which will satisfy you in terms of both service and cuisine. 20/20 from me.
