Le Gallia sur Avignon

The setting is warm and inviting, the welcome is top-notch, and the owner is incredibly attentive from start to finish. You can tell she loves hosting, and that makes all the difference. The dishes are generous, prepared with quality ingredients and, above all, with a lot of care. As for the meat… perfectly cooked! I highly recommend it. For once, there was no need to play the "rare, medium, or well-done" game: it was exactly what we asked for. A place where you eat well, have a great time, and leave wanting to come back. Well done to the whole team!

The service is very pleasant, and they offer helpful advice if you're unsure of your choice. The shaded terrace is a welcome respite in this heat. Even at lunchtime, tables are reserved just for drinks. But you can, of course, eat there too, enjoying healthy, organic products. We opted for the refreshing salad, which was full of delicious little treats. Located right in the heart of Avignon, the prices are more than reasonable, unlike some other tourist traps.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. We were pleasantly surprised. Delicious home-cooked food. The owner was super friendly and the desserts were exceptional! What a find!

Very good, generous portions, and the crème caramel for dessert was delicious. I received an extremely warm welcome and had an excellent meal.

A nice little cafe very close to the papal palace. We finished our visit around 3 p.m. and if you've ever been to France, you know it might be tricky to get lunch at such a late hour. Not at Le Gallia! The staff went out of their way to present what's on the menu and help us with our choices. The food was locally sourced, organic and very, very tasty. It was obviously home made, from the ratatouille to the whipped cream on our cheese cake. We were recommended a local craft beer, which was very good, too. It has been a while since I encountered such warm and friendly service. Many thanks!
