A real gem! This restaurant has become one of my favorites in Roanne! The cuisine is refined yet unpretentious, with beautifully prepared ingredients. The service strikes the perfect balance: incredibly warm and friendly, while remaining highly professional. And honestly, considering the quality of the food and the atmosphere, the prices are ridiculously low. A superb place that you absolutely must discover.

A warm and friendly welcome... You immediately feel at ease with these lovely people. The dishes are delicious and varied... with homemade desserts and real bread. The terrace is a real escape. Refined and hearty, a must-try in Roanne.

The welcome and service were warm and pleasant. The terrace was also very enjoyable. We ate there when it was 38 degrees Celsius outside; despite the heatwave, we were well protected. The cuisine was simply exquisite. The dishes were beautifully presented, full of flavor and subtlety. The meat was succulent. The dessert was not too sweet, revealing delicate flavors, a perfect balance of melt-in-your-mouth texture and crispness. It was a true delight for the discerning palate. We will gladly return.

Le Coq en Paille

04/09/2026: We had dinner at Le Coq en Poulpe for our anniversary and everything was absolutely perfect. The service, the food, the warm welcome, and even the thoughtful touch of offering us two glasses of champagne for the occasion. We will definitely be back to try the new menu.
25/08/2026: The food was good but nothing special. The service was decent, and they even accommodated us without a reservation. The price-quality ratio was reasonable. We were seated on the terrace, and the street was quiet.
