The staff/restaurant owners were very attentive. The service was quick and the food was absolutely delicious; I highly recommend this place! Thank you so much for the prawns with chorizo! 👀

My wife and I enjoyed the charming atmosphere of this restaurant; it was a very pleasant surprise. The service was excellent, they listened to our needs and adapted to our wishes, the cuisine was refined, we truly had a wonderful time, thank you! 😁

April 26 update: The menu has changed, and for dinner there's only one set menu at €42, which is a shame. The quality and taste are there, but the prices are starting to get high. The lunchtime prices remain reasonable. Disappointed by the owners, who are less friendly than before. We felt less welcome. But that's just our impression.

A very pleasant experience. We particularly enjoyed this restaurant. Great attention was paid to our food intolerances, which is quite rare for us. The chef came to our table and prepared a personalized menu for us. The dishes were generous and delicious, and beautifully presented. Everyone was very friendly. We will return if we are ever in Roanne again.

10/04/2026: We had dinner last night at Le Coq en Poulpe restaurant and it was an excellent experience! We chose the €36 Le Coq menu and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. The snails were delicious, perfectly prepared, and the beef chuck with its shallot sauce was simply incredible: melt-in-your-mouth tender and bursting with flavor. Special mention also goes to the warm Saint-Marcellin cheese, which was absolutely perfect. A very pleasant evening in a friendly atmosphere, with generous and expertly prepared dishes. We highly recommend it!
