23/06/2025: It's a renewed pleasure to come to the Assaporare restaurant.
We never tire of listening to Giuseppe, the owner, unfold the menus with his unmistakably Italian passion and naturalness, explaining, in detail, the conception and preparation of each dish. With talent and humor, his words pique the diner's curiosity and appetite.
When you come here, you have to forget what you know or think you know about Italian cuisine. The explanations, however enticing they may be, are not just promises; they are realized on the plate. The presentation, the consistency of the dishes, and their aromas transport you to a new culinary universe. This is pure traditional cuisine, without fuss or frills, but refined and delicious.
And if you dare ask Giuseppe for his wine recommendation, you must then put down your fork and listen reverently to the story of a vineyard and probably a winemaking family. Without any false modesty, he will recommend a wine from his native land, but he will also be able to suggest another that would better suit your taste.
Like the dishes, the wines are not necessarily from well-known labels, but they are just as worth discovering. Tradition and terroir, as with the dishes, flatter the nose and then the palate.
Out of habit and taste, I always seek to discover new restaurants, but Assaporare is one of the few I return to time and time again.
