I find there aren't enough appetizers and desserts, and the portions are perhaps a little small. Apart from that, the welcome was very good and the staff very friendly. I recommend it.

Hello, as it was hot, I ordered a Périgord salad. What a mistake! Don't forget, we're not in Périgord. Too many croutons, too much salad, and the dressing had no flavor.

The welcome and service were mixed (not exactly glowing).
The menu is nice, and the regional aspect is good too.
Set menu at €25 (starter/main): The starter was a bit bland, but the main course was good!
Special mention to the cheese plate, where the selection was excellent!
We were left wanting more, but the welcome wasn't the issue (I think it was due to the person who greeted us, but that inevitably skews the overall impression!). The end of service was better; a young man took over (without us complaining or anything).

Honestly, it’s excellent.
We were a little concerned it was close to the main tourist square but it’s a nice small restaurant and the menu looked focussed and good and our gut feel said we should try it. We were right.
Everything was faultless.
Service of course but then Vouvray to start, a beautiful selection of 3 Loire reds - we went for the Saint Nicolas de Bourgeuil which was delicious.
My wife and I shared a magret de canard and a local goats cheese (Saint Maure) salad - best duck I’ve ever had with a sublime forestier sauce.
Desserts also fab.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and might go back tomorrow for dinner!

A restaurant with simple yet excellent cuisine. The owners are from Tours and, despite their questionable taste in football, welcomed us like friends. We'll be back every time we're in Tours!

A restaurant focused on local cuisine.
So, a must-try if you're looking for local specialties.
The decor is really charming (old-fashioned school theme).
The service is good.
The food is excellent and lived up to my expectations.
The value for money is unbeatable. A must for anyone curious about local cuisine.
