Unfortunately, much worse than expected. The table we had reserved in person wasn't available. We were given a different table, but it was too small for our group. The food didn't meet our expectations. Duck with sauerkraut, chicken with mushroom sauce, steak with vegetables... everything was bland or barely seasoned. The vegetables consisted of one small piece of zucchini and one small piece of carrot. The waiters were bored and rather unfriendly. Not recommended; we wouldn't go back.

Excellent service, polite staff and delicious food.

We came during the week with the children, who love foie gras. They were disappointed because it was too alcoholic. We had to go and find the waitress several times to order. We come here regularly, but this time we were really disappointed.

A classic! Expect to pay around €60 per person with wine, although the set menu is more affordable. The staff is always very welcoming, and the menu features classic dishes like foie gras and calf's head, with a daily special to suit different tastes.

We ordered the course menu with differnt dishes. All of them are so delicious and the servants are also professional and excellent! Merci beaucoup!

In this world-renowned restaurant, with its excellent cuisine and more than reasonable prices, you are welcomed with exceptional kindness and simplicity. The restaurant is less than 2 minutes from the cathedral. The decor is traditional. The service is impeccable, with smiles everywhere. Reservations are highly recommended. Having had lunch there on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 1 p.m., with a reservation, the service was extended late into the early afternoon, and some customers were turned away. The foie gras is delicious, as is the Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives. The foie gras quenelles with cream, sautéed potatoes, and green salad are unforgettable.

The food and service were excellent! Definitely 5 out of 5 stars! Absolutely worth a visit!

Unparalleled joy and conviviality in this winstub where I once met the wonderful Madame Yvonne. She told me one day, "Shut up and eat your food" in Alsatian 😅 She was a truly remarkable woman... The food is excellent and the service is 20/20...it deserves its Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide. We'll be back this time as a group of 15...to celebrate a retirement... A winstub in the colors of Alsace, with a menu and cuisine worthy of a great Alsatian winstub. I'm a member of the Compagnons du Devoir (a French guild of craftsmen) in the restaurant industry and I highly recommend this restaurant... Thank you for this wonderful experience, an address not to be missed when visiting Strasbourg... Thank you to the whole team, and a special mention to our waiter, who was top-notch and very professional.

A very pleasant place in a beautiful area near the cathedral. Excellent service. And delicious food. Good value for money.
