Le Thomasien sur Strasbourg

This restaurant was recommended to us on the free walking tour, and we went there in Petite France. It was a great choice. The tarte flambées were exquisite. We tried the mushroom tarte flambée, and it was incredible. We also tried a Spätzle Bouches la Reine, a typical Alsatian dish, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend eating at this establishment. As a side note, the tourist train passes by the terrace approximately every 30 minutes.

Onion soup, burrata salad, pizza, and crème brûlée are something else entirely. The problem is the internet is very weak; you need to prepare some chats.

A small restaurant. The waiters speak many languages, which is truly remarkable, especially if you're from a German-speaking background – it's quite a plus. The food is perfectly adequate, and the location is good, being right in the city center. Everything else was quick and efficient; the food arrived all at once. We were a large group of 23 people, and the owners were very welcoming and friendly. Paying separately was incredibly easy. The service staff was very attentive; there was nothing negative to report. The food is solid – not gourmet, but sufficient to fill you up, which is perfectly fine.

Located in a charming little alley, the food is incredibly delicious and flavorful; the red meat is excellent, I highly recommend it. The only negative point was the tone of the waitstaff. We were greeted with "get in line behind the others" when we asked if we could get a table for that evening, even though we were simply looking at the menu. Not very pleasant.

Went there in search of roesti, as not too many places in the city centre offer it. Tempted by high reviews we ended up in Le Thomasien. The food was acceptable, but nothing special. The overall atmosphere - annoying smell of the place, hot, crowded and super touristic. The service was very nice though. I would rate it higher, but I hate tourist traps and I felt like I got caught in one tonight.

We went for dinner and everything was good, the salad and the tarte flambé.

Simple and efficient for lunch. There's a terrace, which is great in the summer. We had salads and flammekueche, and they were good.

The restaurant is located in the romantic part of Grand Île, in Petite France. During yesterday's visit, one waiter (tall, slim, between 25 and 40) stood out negatively by constantly snapping at his colleagues to hurry up, while he himself was constantly rushing around, creating a very unpleasant and nervous atmosphere. While serving quickly is certainly possible, this was completely excessive. The young woman who served us was very nice, and we felt a bit sorry for her because she was constantly being snapped at by the aforementioned waiter in front of the other guests. Unfortunately, I personally didn't like the crème fraîche on the tarte flambée this time either, so I didn't eat about 80% of it. I had tarte flambée there two years ago, and I enjoyed it then. Based on my recent visit, I wouldn't go back because of the hectic atmosphere and the poor taste of the food.
