Choco'bar sur Bracieux

The welcome was quite warm and friendly, and parking was very easy, both by car and bicycle (plenty of them, as the cycle path to Chambord is nearby). We each enjoyed two tubs with two scoops of ice cream: fairly generous portions, but given the time of year, the usual wide variety of flavors were unfortunately not yet available (nor any toppings, alas 🤷). We were comfortably seated, either outside on wooden benches or inside if the weather wasn't cooperating. The flavors were okay, but honestly not mind-blowing that day (an excuse to come back, I suppose 😊).

A wonderful experience at the Max Vauché chocolate shop in Bracieux! The tour was fascinating, with clear and interesting explanations lasting about an hour. The shop itself is also very pleasant, well-presented, and filled with delicious products that make you want to try everything. The welcome was warm, and the chocolate tasting at the end perfectly complemented the visit. I highly recommend it to all chocolate lovers! Thank you to our guide, Carolina. If I'm not mistaken. A fascinating visit! Full of treats with all kinds of chocolates! Children and parents with a sweet tooth will be delighted!

Third visit… The 100% Sao Tomé chocolate is good, but the 100% Vanuatu chocolate is simply wonderful. For me, the chocolate pistoles are essential for baking with and for children… who also love the chocolates available for tasting on-site, the fountain, and the various themed displays, all of which are very appealing, especially the current tropical designs!

A visit to the chocolate factory with Marylou was a wonderful experience, with an explanation of the history and culture of chocolate. The visit concluded with a chocolate tasting. A fantastic time, Marylou is very pleasant. We highly recommend it.

The marshmallow bear is so melt-in-your-mouth! Delicious. They also make some bean-to-bar chocolate bars.

The service was very inconsistent: we went to Max Vauché for ice cream twice this summer. The first time was great, with a young, generous server who gave us generous scoops (which seemed fair given the rather high price), was friendly, and offered helpful advice. The tables for eating in were a real plus! The chocolate sorbet wasn't as intensely chocolatey as I would have liked, but it was still very good. However, what a disappointment our second visit was! An older server who seemed bothered by our presence, very small scoops... and unfortunately, that day I chose the coffee flavor: the large quantity of coffee bean pieces in the ice cream was quite off-putting. I didn't like it at all. As for the quality of the chocolate, I was disappointed: we bought the chocolate squares to go with the coffee, and I found them far too thin. It's impossible to get any flavor with so little product! The spread was very sweet, and the chocolate candies were just okay. Only the marshmallows were a hit with my sister. In short, for the price, it wasn't anything special. I was left wanting more!
