To discover this emblematic establishment to taste it DESPITE the inappropriate behavior of the impatient crowd!!! How does a traditional house cope with this crowd of people who are so impatient - and sometimes so unfriendly or even aggressive - who jostle there...and jostle you to get a table to taste it? And yet we are only in February...Perhaps these people are here to import urban anxiety and try to pollute the warm atmosphere of Bayonne! I am convinced that the service at Maison Cazenave does the best. Very good hot chocolate, the sparkling one. We obviously recommend... wishing you to be able to avoid the few unwanted people who by their mere presence make you regret having come for the snack... Some ideas to be able to stay focused on the products: the management could increase its prices and finance a watchman? And/or force the queue outside if city services authorize it? And/or opt for humorous posters and signage inspiring civic behavior among potential customers under these marvelous historic arcades? We hope this emblematic establishment will help to alleviate or even eradicate this evil!

Boutique par excellence of Bayonne Chocolate as one of the oldest houses. The period decor is beautifully preserved. Obligatory stopover for an artisanal hot chocolate. Attended without moderation! Very good quality and price

In terms of chocolates, Maison Cazenave is an institution! Quite simply the best chocolate in the region...Dare to treat yourself to a little tasting moment with the hot chocolates on offer!

This place is very friendly and has an atmospheric ambiance. Very very good chocolate and excellent toast. The service is energetic and fast. And a good welcome.

Brilliant experience, the foamy hot chocolate is really wonderful, I really advise everyone who passes through Bayonne, don't be afraid to push the door, you will never be disappointed, plus you can taste a great homemade Basque cake

There were 4 of us and we all had the chocolate mousse, toast and whipped cream for €11.40 per person. It's quite generous: 2 toasts and almost 2 chocolates each. It was excellent as always. A downside: waiting in the street among the tables and inside it is a little cramped. A big shout out to the waitresses who never stop and have to work in limited space. A very big congratulations to those who prepare all this and who we cannot see: we have to make the toasts, froth the chocolate, make the whipped cream... A good time sharing with family. The kids love it!

The best hot chocolate of my life. Quite simply. The accompanying toasts are a pure moment of happiness. The welcome is very friendly. Room placement and queuing are managed with remarkable energy and efficiency. The room is pretty and original, the crockery with little flowers is very cute. It was definitely worth the wait. Bravo and thank you for this moment of extraordinary indulgence.
