I recently had an excellent stay at Ciarus Youth Hostel in Strasbourg, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and at home.
A special shoutout to Deborah, who went above and beyond when I accidentally left my wallet in the locker. She arranged for it to be delivered back to me in Hong Kong promptly and efficiently. I was so relieved and grateful for her help!
The service throughout my stay was exceptional. The counter staff were incredibly friendly, providing me with helpful directions to various sites, including the European Court of Human Rights. Their local knowledge made my visit so much easier and more enjoyable.
The hostel itself is conveniently located near the main train station, making it easy to get around. The beds and overall environment were impeccably clean, which is always a plus for a solo traveler like myself.
I wholeheartedly recommend Ciarus for anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay in Strasbourg. Thank you once again for sending back my wallet!

The room in the girls' dormitory where I live has no air conditioning. It happened to be a heat wave and the room was like a sauna.
The room is very clean, has two bathrooms, free bath towels, and lockable lockers. You only need to invest one euro to reuse them.

I stayed in a dorm. One of the few best dorm experiences. A room for six had two bathrooms! Spacious, clean. Highly recommended.

We came with a sports group of 13 people.
Before the stay: very good organization and lots of exchanges by email to best meet our expectations.
During the stay: clean and spacious room. What we appreciated were the transport (tram not far away), the meals, the games room for young people. Attentive and helpful staff. I recommend this establishment. We will come back next year

Really not great. The rooms are small, the sheets are pilled and rough, the floor is poorly vacuumed, the shower oscillates between too hot and very cold, the shower head was broken. No air conditioning but a good big noise from the blower since the room overlooks a courtyard so you have to choose between heat or noise. For 110€ per night I think it's easy to find better, we fortunately paid 75€ via booking but it wasn't worth it either. We only stayed there one night out of pure necessity. Parking is expensive (30€ per night) so luckily we found it on the street. I'm hesitating between 2 and 3 stars but it's not a dump either so it will be 3. The only positive point is the location.

Very small room with bunk beds, if possible with underground PARKING for an extra charge of €30 per day. Departure at 10:00. Very nice location. But expensive for what it offers. It doesn't have air conditioning but it has an air conditioning unit which when it works you can leave. Very helpful staff.

It is a very nice hotel for a group of young friends especially. We stayed for a week. They have great service. The food is yummy. The location is super. We enjoyed our stay experience very much.

The Ciarus is the perfect hotel for school trips to Strasbourg or Alsace.
It is a 20-minute walk from the main station and 12 minutes from the cathedral, and the tram to the European Parliament is 8 minutes away. So close to the center, but in a quiet area
The food (half board) is perfect for a youth hotel: a generous breakfast buffet and rich dinner, all freshly prepared. Of course, dietary requests are taken into account.
There are always a lot of classes there, and the strict night watchman ensures that the hallways are quiet after 10 p.m.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The travel organization is also very professional. Emails will be replied to within 24 hours.
We have been going to Ciarus for many years and it is the best address for us.
