We discovered Maison Pariès during a previous stay in the region. We stop by to buy Basque cakes every time we're in town to enjoy back home. They're delicious, and they gave us valuable tips on how to store them for a long time.

I came to get two Basque cakes, one cream and the other hazelnut. He gave me three Basque cakes, I told him I wanted two, one cream and the other hazelnut, and when I got home I got two cream cakes. The gentleman was a bit slow with the service.

The best pastry chef and chocolatier in the region. The plain Basque cake is the best cake in the world! I come to Saint-Jean-de-Luz very often, and for me, it's paradise (both visually and gastronomically). I enjoy it every time. Thank you to the entire Paries team and to Françoise, whom I know through our shared love of Madagascar. Mi saotra, as they say there.

After the best Basque cake, I discovered the best flan I've ever eaten. It's incredible; it has the same pastry as a Basque cake, and the flan is very vanilla-flavored.

The staff is very friendly and the cakes are delicious. The metal tins for the chocolates are really lovely! I highly recommend the charlotte; it's a real treat.

I bought it at a store in Biarritz and it was delicious and reasonably priced, so I bought a lot from this store. They even gave me a free gift and the staff were very nice.

30/08/2024: We came 2 years ago so we came back this year. We were disappointed We found the prices expensive... 24€ for the squid dish... the children's menu 12€ with a chocolate fondant for dessert which when it arrives is half fondant since the initial cake was shared... that's really a win-win... Fast service.

12/08/2025: What a pleasure it was to eat at this place. We greatly appreciated the welcome every time we came. The announcement of the restaurant's closure was a real heartbreak. It will be very difficult to find such a charming restaurant with such good value for money. Happy retirement, chef, and see you soon.
