We happened to walk by, and the window display made us want to go in. The waitresses were smiling and very friendly. The cakes were delicious, like their homemade version of Kouign-amann (Breton). As for the ice cream, we tried several sorbets, each one as delicious as the next. I personally tried the "Cacao Crane," which was divine.

I tried the Basque-style macarons. Although they weren't as vibrant in appearance, they were refreshing and didn't chew well, much better than the popular versions. The Basque Baked Egg Pudding (Flan Basque) was similar to the egg pudding we usually eat; quite cute.

I recently visited Maison Pariès in Saint-Jean-de-Luz and was very pleased with the warm and friendly welcome. The products were also excellent, as always delicious. I highly recommend it!

Individual Basque cakes at exorbitant prices! €3 each (they're well aware of inflation and energy costs). Admittedly, they're delicious... but twice as expensive (for the same product) as those from Maison Péreuil in St. Pée-sur-Nivelle... something's not right! (Me, the foodie tourist)

21/07/2026: Great location right on the beach. They don't take reservations so be early or patient, apparently it's a new owner who was very friendly and found a spot for our large group on a Sunday for lunch. Food was great and reasonably priced.
15/07/2026: Exceptional location, friendly staff, what a lovely evening we had!
