COTE COUR sur Aix-En-Provence

This used to be my favorite restaurant, but after a non-culinary mishap, I never managed to return. This post is therefore cathartic for me. On our last visit, my mother, who was undergoing chemotherapy, ordered a set menu but specified that the chemo could make her averse to certain foods (particularly pineapple). She therefore ordered the set menu but simply changed her dessert. The new dessert was inflexibly charged at €18 (because it wasn't part of the set menu). It's in accordance with the rules, but nevertheless, in my opinion, very inhumane.

A truly gourmet restaurant run by a former Top Chef contestant! The set menus are very appealing, allowing you to choose a starter, main course, and dessert for €60. The interior is beautifully decorated. The dishes are refined, exotic, and original. The staff is incredibly attentive. We had a wonderful evening.

We started by ordering an aperitif and immediately received a delicious truffle tarama with lovely bread. The starter was served, but the aperitif had still not been delivered. It arrived while we were enjoying a fantastic yuzu tuna ceviche. The main course was a beautiful piece of turbot with confit lemon in olive oil with cèpes and artichokes, accompanied by truffle purée. These two dishes are a culinary experience. The dessert of grilled pineapple with mango was a bit disappointing due to being too sweet and too voluminous. The glass of wine ordered with the main course and the coffee afterwards were not delivered. It is a bit of a shame that the service does not match the level of the kitchen. The interior of the restaurant is very pleasant, although all the plants are artificial, including the green walls.

As a regular at this restaurant, which I usually recommend, I was very disappointed with the service today. The chef must have fallen in love, because the homemade bouillabaisse was far too salty and inedible. No apology was offered. In short, a huge disappointment for a regular customer. Furthermore, the sauce was too rich, and the fish was overcooked. It's a real shame because the ambiance and setting are pleasant, and the service is very attentive. We weren't used to this. I hope the chef will make amends.

A truly beautiful place where the chef showcases his expertise on a simple yet exceptionally original menu. There's something for everyone! The service, overseen by Louis, is on par with the food, and his wine pairing recommendations are excellent. Highly recommended for a business dinner, a romantic evening, or a get-together with friends.

An excellent dinner with friends and children. A professional and warm welcome from Louis. Excellent, refined, and well-balanced cuisine prepared by a chef and his team who took the time to greet his guests. They were also very attentive to the children. I highly recommend this establishment.

Excellent flavors and dishes, kudos to the Chef! The setting was magnificent, the service could be improved but the staff were friendly, we had a very pleasant time.
