The meal was perfect on August 16, 2026. The terrace is nicely shaded under the plane trees. There's a beautiful view of the Saône River. The service is quick and responsive. The house aperitif, made with Crémant, is a bit pricey, but it's good.

I haven't found a better restaurant on the banks of the Saône than Côté Saône. The terrace, the welcome, and the service were all top-notch. Excellent cuisine. Our favorite menu this past Saturday, August 15th, was the salmon tartare with mango that melted in our mouths, the perfectly cooked sea bass fillet (which I loved), and the homemade almond and peanut nougat—simply divine. Well done to the whole team and to Valérie. Until next time.

Friendly welcome. I was also immediately offered an amuse-bouche. I had a delicious meal; the portions were more than sufficient. I had the menu of the day and went home very satisfied.

Once again. Lovely setting, beautiful shaded terrace. Very friendly staff. A very nice menu. Excellent, generous lunch menu at a reasonable price. The only downside, for example, was today's set menu dish: swordfish steak. Excellent, but if you don't like fish, there's no alternative. You have to order à la carte. I highly recommend it; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. See you very soon. 🍽❤️🍽

18/07/2026: We stayed one night at the campsite in Thoissey while passing through. Because we had poor service and food at our campsite in the afternoon, we decided to go to the village. We stopped at Colisée there because we saw a nice photo of the terrace on Google. It has a nice and cozy terrace. The pizzas were delicious and the service was friendly. They don't speak English there, but they do everything to help you. The terrace is pleasant, cozy, and romantic. We did have to wait a while to pay. It was very busy and there were only two people serving, whereas at the beginning there was only one. The ice cream was served slightly melted, but it was still tasty. Quite expensive for ice cream with sauce though, 7.50 per scoop. Vanilla ice cream with sauce of your choice. You can also get takeout there.
