Cour des Poetes sur Sarlat-La-Caneda

A warm welcome and simple, good food. We had a lovely evening as a group of eight, and the teenage children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

An address you absolutely must remember in Sarlat. The food, atmosphere, and setting are superb! We came with our children and grandchildren, and they were spoiled rotten.

Wow, what an excellent experience from start to finish! From the welcome to the service, everything was perfect. The waiter and waitress were smiling, pleasant, and attentive. Kudos to the chef as well for the generous, flavorful, and truly delicious cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and recommend this restaurant 100%! 👏😋 Note: it's best to make a reservation!!!

Not enough quantity. Not the dishes on the menu. Disappointing… Tourist trap. It's a shame, the setting is beautiful.

A great find during our vacation. Duck spring rolls ➡️ a delicious and surprising starter. Walnut tart ➡️ excellent. Quick service for drinks. There was a wait for the starter and main course, but given how busy it is in the summer, I consider that normal.

A friendly restaurant, pleasant in the evening, with impeccable service. The portions are small considering the price of the dishes or set menu, especially for men! The food is good and well-prepared! BUT, when you order four aperitifs, there's nothing to nibble on with them, offered by the restaurant! Even a few chips, olives, or tapenade would have been really nice! My chestnut wine was served in a small glass with a large ice cube, and the children's sodas were tasteless. It's a real shame, so we didn't order any wine, bottled water, or coffee! You need to differentiate yourselves from your competitors...

What a wonderful discovery La Cour des Poètes was! Passing through Sarlat on market day, we decided we wanted to eat there. We stumbled upon this restaurant, whose menu looked tempting and whose location allowed us to stay cool with our baby in the stroller. Between the excellent service, delicious food, and very reasonable prices, we highly recommend it.

A wonderful discovery! The meal was delicious: the duck breast, cassoulet, and confit were all excellent, nothing to complain about. The only slight disappointment was the cake, which was recommended to us – it was just okay, so we chose something else. The service was pleasant, but it was slightly marred by a waiter who didn't enunciate clearly, spoke quickly, and frankly, it seemed like he was annoyed. Luckily, the gentleman at reception, the young Black woman, and another charming young woman served us and improved the experience. I should mention that I asked the waiter to repeat himself because my mother is hard of hearing, but apparently, he didn't hear me. It's a shame. Otherwise, I highly recommend this charming place, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

A very good restaurant in a lovely setting. The menu features a wide variety of local cuisine, and the prices are more than reasonable. The dishes are generous and beautifully presented, and the service is impeccable. The food is all homemade, and it's a real treat. To give you an idea, you'll find photos of the dishes we enjoyed as part of a €24.90 set menu (starter, main course, dessert). - Shredded duck spring roll - Duck confit with crushed Sarlat-style potatoes - Royal chocolate dessert The Caesar salad was a dish for a teenager.
