15/03/2026: Our favorite restaurant in Sarlat. Our go-to spot for every occasion. A reliable choice where everything is amazing. Service, food, atmosphere, decor… etc. I highly recommend it.

10/03/2026: Warm welcome, the owner is friendly! The pizzas are very good, cooked in a wood-fired oven, and the service is very fast. The location is great, and the dining room and tables are lovely. For two people, it costs just under €50, which is very reasonable. I recommend it!

21/05/2026: The €21.90 lunch menu is excellent value for money. We tried the "La Rosette" wine, a good wine we hadn't tried before. The crème brûlée and the walnut cake were both very good. Highly recommended.

30/04/2026: I had a wonderful dining experience here! Even though it is a fast-food style restaurant, the quality of the food and the prices make the value for money (CP value) incredibly high. We ordered the Confit de Canard (Duck Confit) and the Pâtes Sarladaises. The duck was cooked to perfection—the skin was incredibly crispy while the meat remained tender and fell off the bone. The Sarladais-style pasta was a real treat; the foie gras sauce was rich and velvety, pairing beautifully with the smoky flavor of the magret fumé. To drink, we tried the local Vin de Noix (Walnut Wine) and the refreshing Limonade BIO de Sarlat. Both were excellent additions to our meal. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and a huge plus is that they are pet-friendly! If you are looking for authentic flavors and a warm atmosphere without breaking the bank, this is the place to go!

Special mention goes to the staff, whose kindness and humor immediately put you at ease. A fantastic experience; you truly feel comfortable there. A must-visit in Sarlat!

28/03/2026: A very cozy place to enjoy cheese with a good wine. They offer three courses. The staff are incredibly friendly and try their best to please. Reservations are recommended, although there's usually a table available while you're enjoying your appetizer.

24/03/2026: A truly wonderful experience! Traveling solo for work. A fantastic welcome; they were so attentive and offered to let me plug in my laptop without me even asking. The service was incredibly pleasant! And the homemade food was absolutely delicious! A real treat! Thank you for this relaxing break in a busy day! And I even discovered Comtesse de Vichy cheese… so tasty! I'm definitely noting this address for my next trip!

02/05/2026: The place is really nice. I’ve ordered the Magrett de Canard, it was a bit chewy unfortunately lukewarm, served just a couple of minutes after the order. The other guests were probably served the full portion (I had demi) and was served coherently with a 15 minutes cooking time. The garden and the building are beautiful.

13/05/2026: I'm letting you know that this restaurant is a must-try! Wow, the food is absolutely amazing! 🤩 We ordered the Périgord Noir dish with truffles. It was melted Périgord cheese 😋 surrounded by various Périgord charcuterie specialties and potatoes. The flavors exploded in your mouth! Thank you to the chef for this delicious meal! 😋

20/04/2026: Excellent restaurant, the dishes are generous and delicious. The service is quick and friendly. The cheese platter is to die for! Plus, it's not too crowded, so the atmosphere on the veranda is relatively calm.

12/04/2026: An absolutely exceptional experience at Bistro de l’Octroi in Sarlat! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with rare kindness and warmth. We immediately felt at home, with a caring and passionate team. As for the food, it was simply a delight: we savored absolutely sublime Périgord specialties (a special mention for the duck confit). Each dish was flavorful, generous, and perfectly executed—a true culinary journey! This is an establishment that truly deserves to be known and recognized. If you are passing through Sarlat, don't miss it: stop by, you won't be disappointed!

14/10/2025: Out on our bikes travelling around Sarlat... Found this little GEM PIZZA SHOP. Pizza was made all fresh...owners were lovely & very accomodating, made us feel so welcome, i had a beer, wife had a glass of wine. we had the 13in to share Marianas Pizza, Oh my gosh was it good. It looked and tasted amazing.... Looked at the good rating on google....so glad we came here. Would definitely recomend a visit for fresh quality pizza

19/05/2026: A beautiful house in the historic district of Sarlat, and above all, a wonderful restaurant to discover. I loved the sweetbreads, the cassoulet with duck confit and porcini mushrooms, and of course, the beef with pan-seared foie gras. I didn't eat everything, but I sampled dishes from my neighbors' plates. I highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food (both the ingredients and the cooking), the attentive yet discreet service, and the typically Périgord setting. I will definitely be back.

17/05/2026: A very good restaurant; the dishes are excellent (duck breast, pan-fried foie gras). The atmosphere and setting are very pleasant in this old building (stone walls, exposed beams, etc.). The prices are reasonable.

05/05/2026: We stopped for lunch and weren't disappointed! Highly recommended restaurant, which was fantastic. We enjoyed a meal on the terrace, excellent value for money, and delicious dishes (featuring duck, of course). A very pleasant spot in the heart of Sarlat with quality cuisine and excellent ingredients. The portions were generous. I highly recommend it.

19/04/2026: A truly disappointing culinary experience. The menu offered tasteless foie gras (homemade?), duck confit (dry and overcooked), and duck breast (thankfully ordered pink) that was as tough as meat. The dessert was chestnut mousse (where were the chestnuts?). In short, the staff were at least friendly. So, for 76 euros for two, you'd be better off ordering steak frites; you'll be less likely to be disappointed. 🤑🤑

18/04/2026: Absolutely fantastic! A warm and welcoming atmosphere, a cozy ambiance—that's the setting. The food is perfect. The delicious and generous homemade pizzas, the quality meat, and the impeccable service at a more than reasonable price make you want to come back, which we did. Well done and thank you.

16/04/2026: Pizza Périgourdine (Crème fraîche, cheese, dried duck breast, goat cheese, olives, oregano) -> very good. Pizza La Coppa du Périgord (Cream, cheese, coppa from Périgord, Cantal AOP cheese, basil, Périgord walnuts, black olives, oregano) -> very good. The pizzas are good and generous. But the service is borderline amateurish. At the end of the meal, we were asked if there would be coffee. We replied, "no," and the waitress left us standing there. No instructions on how to pay, no "Have a good day."
