I just picked the date randomly because, frankly, I've known and frequented this bar for so long, formerly Pont Neuf, because of its lovely terrace... one of the few in Besançon. When I was still working, I often had my coffee there early in the morning before work. The owners, Dominic and Claire, work very hard and have done so for years, so a little kindness and respect for them would be appreciated. I go back as soon as my health allows, due to some health issues. The service is always top-notch, and the establishment has always been impeccably clean. And a new addition to help them out, Karine, a ray of sunshine and positivity. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish them a well-deserved holiday at the end of this week. I'll be there whenever I can. Thanks to Dominique and Claire, supported by Karine.

Very nice, excellent advice for choosing a glass of white wine... Savagnin grape variety 👌

Chez Bruno

04/06/2026: Chez Bruno - legend! He knows his stuff. No better!
18/05/2026: Bruno, I had such a wonderful time. You offer wines at really good prices, and the atmosphere of the wine bar is fantastic. Everyone had a great time. Thank you for warmly welcoming me—a traveler from Korea who came in search of good wine. Stay healthy, Bruno. I’ll definitely come back to see you again!

Brasserie des Beaux Arts

06/08/2026: Cozy and nice place, really delicious dishes... However, the welcome is cold, "café" style, efficient certainly, but not very friendly.
05/07/2026: Lunch today on the back terrace (nicer and shady than the one facing the museum). The starters were good and fresh (burrata with rhubarb and blackcurrant or octopus salad 🐙). The sea bream was decent but nothing special at €29 (very thick fillet and a bit bland with the sauce; the accompanying eggplant could have been better prepared). The same goes for the chicken supreme with morels at €32, which was simply served with a cream sauce and fries. A bit pricey for the quality! The service was pleasant and quick. To be continued!
