A very nice restaurant, Excellent service And quality products

We came to eat at this very good restaurant, just the two of us. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable (around €20 per dish). Our only complaint is that we ordered a trout fillet with potato waffles, but we received potato rösti instead. Offering the option of small roasted potatoes, like with the other dishes, would have been a big plus. Excellent!

Mixed feelings. The welcome was quite friendly, and the people who seemed to be running the restaurant weren't unpleasant, but they clearly seemed overwhelmed. First surprise: a Coke served that had expired in October 2025. We pointed it out, and it was replaced without difficulty with another one, this time within the expiration date, but served warm. Does this mean that all the refrigerated stock is expired? I'd rather not know. For our meal, we had requested well-done meat (I'm pregnant). However, the burger arrived decidedly undercooked. I asked the cook, who was also serving, to recook it. She initially assured me that the meat was cooked thoroughly, with a rather noticeable air of bad faith… (never mind…), before finally taking the dish away. The burger came back cooked, but the presentation clearly suffered after being reheated: the burger hadn't been properly assembled, and some of the filling had turned to mush. I think it would have been more honest to remake the burger properly. It's a shame because the burger itself was quite good, and the sauce was excellent. The fries, on the other hand, are hard to defend: clearly not homemade, with a very standardized texture, shape, and taste, which is unfortunately common in many restaurants. As for the rest, the place gives a rather peculiar impression. The decor mixes many different styles and aesthetics, the organization is sometimes haphazard, and the whole thing lacks a certain coherence. It feels like an establishment that needs a complete overhaul and simplification. We expected something more authentic in a town like Saint-Nectaire. The most difficult point to understand, ultimately, is the prices, which are quite high, and considering the experience offered, the value for money is unfortunately not there. Will we go back? Probably not.

We ate there this weekend with our children, it was a great time, the manager is very friendly, and the food was very good. It's a family-friendly place. Highly recommended.
