During the Covid pandemic, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at the Crescendo in St Gilles Croix de Vie. After trying the Crescendo in Vesoul and the one in La Roche-sur-Yon, we decided to stop eating at this restaurant chain. Back in St Gilles Croix de Vie, however, we gave Crescendo another try... Bingo! This restaurant is definitely nothing like most of the chain's franchises. The starters are well-prepared, not dripping with sauce, and the vegetables are flavorful. The dessert buffet is impressive, and the cakes seem to be of high quality. The side dishes feature a wide variety of vegetables, which are cooked perfectly. Our favorite was the chicken mafé with white rice! Ultimately, Crescendo's success depends primarily on the managers and chefs who choose whether or not to offer their customers a varied and unusual, high-quality cuisine. I wholeheartedly recommend Crescendo in St Gilles Croix de Vie!

I am very disappointed because when I arrived at the buffet there were flies on the food, and when I was eating, flies were circling my plate and trying to land on it, which I found very unpleasant.

Nice, simple, and inexpensive cafeteria. Great for those on a budget and also for those with a good appetite, since some dishes are all-you-can-eat. For example, mussels and fries with salad and vegetables for €12.90, I think. Outdoor terrace.

Very nice self-service restaurant, fresh products prepared on site, large choice of cooked vegetables, unlimited, fish on plancha grills, pizzas, burgers... unlimited mussels in season, fresh and varied desserts, meal for 2 with unlimited mussels and fries, dessert, beer, 38 euros.
