02/06/2026: We came for lunch today as a couple, without the children. We had a lovely time. We received a very warm welcome from two ladies. The service was perfect. We opted for the €35 set menu, which included a starter, main course, and dessert, an aperitif each, and a carafe of wine. It came to €100 for two. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and highly recommend this restaurant in Saint-Gilles!

18/05/2026: We had an excellent lunch at this restaurant, which is already delightful thanks to its warm atmosphere and very pretty, understated, elegant decor. Luckily we had made a reservation because the restaurant was full on this Ascension Friday. All the dishes delighted our palates, and their presentation was enticing.

The team is truly welcoming, the service is quick and always pleasant. The prices are quite reasonable, and the quality is excellent. I highly recommend stopping by this crêperie in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie; you won't be disappointed! See you soon!

18/05/2026: A very friendly crêperie that welcomed us without a reservation (there were six of us) on a Friday evening when the place was full. We had a fantastic meal made with delicious, fresh ingredients. A real treat for the taste buds! I highly recommend it and will definitely go back if I'm ever in the area.

27/10/2025: I am delighted with my experience in this bar, the owners (I think they are the owners) are adorable and very welcoming, very respectful and respectable, very smiling. I do not encourage you to do the same, it was only one drink and the first one was paid for without incident, but I had a problem paying for the second one and I let them come back the next day (I even offered to leave proof of identity, the lady told me so kindly that you have to know how to trust), that's what I did as soon as it opened, thank you to them for their trust, once again coming from Nantes, this is the first time that trust has been shown to this point, thank you, I will come back with or without a friend, I highly recommend

A truly magnificent setting (right by the sea), and a much-appreciated limoncello. Gentlemen, this restaurant is definitely for you. 07/11/2025: Under new ownership for the past year. New layout, decor, and equipment. A very warm welcome from the entire team, and they were very attentive. Unbeatable value for money in Machecoul. Plenty of choice. A touch of history and a touch of magic. Located on one of the highest points in the area, the restaurant "La Croix Verte" sits at the crossroads of historical sites in Machecoul. *To the right of the entrance, the beginning of the Roman road to Fresnay-en-Retz. The village of Sainte-Croix (Machecoul didn't exist at the time). *A few meters away, the old church of St. John the Baptist and, before that, the first fortified wooden castle in Sainte-Croix. "And the road leading to Sainte-Pazanne towards the Saint-Lazare estate. This green cross was the emblem of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus (11th/12th century). The Order of Saint Lazarus still exists for humanitarian work. Several military orders were present in Machecoul from the 11th century onwards (Saint Lazarus/The Hospitallers/The Templars)."
