Crescendo restaurant sur Beaune

I hadn't been in a long time, and I was disappointed with my visit. There was no more water carafe, so we had to refill our glasses and repeat the process several times if we drank a lot, meaning we were constantly getting up or choosing to only have one glass! The (large) lady at the entrance and dessert counter was pleasant and smiling, as was the gentleman serving the main courses. However, the young woman at the till was unpleasant and looked grumpy. The portions are always generous: the lasagna had a lot of oil but was still good, and the fish was too dry, which was a shame. The prices were reasonable, and the place was clean.

For my part, just a little more effort on the variety of vegetables and you'd be perfect ☺️ A super warm welcome (from all the staff we encountered, from the front of house to the kitchen/dining room), which is becoming quite rare 🌺 Excellent evening, our daughters were delighted 😉 See you soon

We were supposed to go to a small, five-star restaurant, Starched tablecloths, total silence, a cathedral-like atmosphere… But fate, mischievous and cunning, changed the script, And what genius! What a flash of brilliance! What a fabulous crescendo! While our carriage valiantly refueled outside, The horses drank, breathed, and regained their strength, We pushed open the door of Crescendo in Beaune, And there… my friends… it was a revelation, a true triumph! Generous dishes, flavors that sing and rhyme, Comfort on a plate, happiness in the kitchen, Here, no frills, but the real, the sincere, Legendary “come back for more” quality, popular and proud pleasure. We were expecting stuffy luxury, but we found something even better: Warmth, taste, joy, and a happy stomach! Changing my mind that evening was a divine decision, Because Crescendo is nobility… in the culinary sense. The moral of the story? Forget about stars perched too high: The most beautiful ones sometimes shine where we dare to stop. 🌟🍽️

It's a shame there aren't any labels on the sauces and everything else offered in the self-service section. Otherwise, the staff are very friendly.
