Cyrano sur Billom

A simple but satisfying and tasty brasserie meal. We had a group meal and a very good time.

I was quite surprised by the prices at this establishment. Offering a €25 plate of average-quality meat with frozen fries is unacceptable. At that price, you'd expect a full meal (starter, main course, cheese, dessert), or at the very least, better quality, homemade ingredients. Here, the quality is more like a worker's lunch menu, but without the price tag. A price of around €17 or €18 for a full meal would be much more reasonable. At €25 a plate, you clearly expect better meat and fresher sides, which isn't the case. On the plus side, the atmosphere is pleasant, there's a terrace for outdoor dining, dogs are welcome, and the service is good. Be prepared to pay cash, though; they don't accept credit cards.

Visited today. The owner has a great sense of humor, and the young woman serving was very kind and attentive. The menu was much appreciated (special mention for the homemade red wine sauce), and we also wanted to acknowledge the chef. A very pleasant experience; we'll be back!
