A little disappointed. たこやき tastes basically like fried flour. The plat was also just normal.

I came to eat here a year ago and back then the food was delicious, but this time my experience was pretty bad. The takoyaki were very salty and the dough inside was not cooked. The miso soup was also salty. Same, the okonomiyaki was not cooked enough. The staff was unwelcoming.

Great place! You don't have to wait to be seated, I just sat down and the waitress came to take my order and she spoke great english. Shefs make everything to order, I had mixed okonomiyaki with bacon, squid, and prawns. It was very tasty, but the cabbage was a bit mushy. Definitely recommend adding egg and kimchi! Nice cold green tea.

I recently had dinner with a friend at Happatei and was impressed to find such authentic Japanese food in the heart of Paris. The menu offered a good selection of dishes. We tried the shrimp okonomiyaki, which were cooked right in front of us and tasted just like the ones in Japan. The relaxed, casual atmosphere featured bar seating and a few small tables. The service was friendly and informal, making for a nice dining experience.

Disappointed. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for months and in the end it's a big disappointment for me: very greasy and the flavors aren't there. The quantities are however more than reasonable for the price but for me it's a no and I wouldn't go back. Given the number of restaurants that have the same offerings in Paris, I prefer to go elsewhere.

21/09/2024: Today, a dozen of us were eating there. It was funny to hear that there was a table next door. It was a buffet. If four people came there, two would eat and two would not eat, this is definitely not allowed. The waiters here are very nice and the boss is also very nice. Sometimes I think about our own customers’ bad food. Everything is fresh, including salmon, green onion rolls and cheese. They are all fried first and are delicious. We are picky about the food we buy.
13/09/2024: Japanese restaurant with all-you-can-eat buffet at an affordable price, the sushi and skewers are a real treat as well as the spring rolls and shrimp tempura, however I found the squid baths too dry, staff accommodating and quick to serve

14/09/2024: Great staff here in this lovely surprise restaurant. We had the onion soup, and fish and chips. Both were spot on - the soup was loaded with cheese, steamy hot but not scalding. The fish were nicely battered and cooked properly so not greasy or oily. For once here in Paris, the chips (fries) were still hot. The staff seem run off their feet with the college crowd but they remained friendly and attentive. Overall, this was a nice dinning experience. The younger crowd can get loud and exuberant, so if you want a quiet dinner out, this might not be for you. For us, the staff and the food made up for any noise factor concerns.
08/09/2024: Good food, the fries were especially good, fast service and the staff is accommodating to English speakers
