The food was quite tasty, well-prepared, and seasoned. Perhaps a little pricey for what it was. The downside that day was the wait, or even the fact that some customers were forgotten, as the number of staff serving was too low compared to the number of customers at the tables.

We were familiar with Dame Jeanne d’Avalon in the past, but this time we met new people (due to a change of ownership). Gone is the slightly old-fashioned feel of Dame Jeanne’s former tea room and restaurant, where tourists and office workers used to flock at lunchtime to enjoy the owner’s homemade cooking… Now, a young chef is working in the kitchen, while his young partner, among other things, serves in the dining room and on the lovely garden terrace. A good first impression already; to be continued.

A wonderful discovery: the Dame Jeanne tea room in Avallon! Everything is there for a truly delightful experience: a warm atmosphere, a peaceful terrace perfect for relaxing away from the hustle and bustle. As for the food, it's flawless: the chai is excellent, perfectly balanced and comforting. The salmon egg muffin is also a real success, indulgent and delicious. And a special mention for the scones, truly excellent… a must-try! A charming spot that I highly recommend, ideal for a relaxing and indulgent break.

An exceptional place and top-notch staff. Everything is beautiful, delicious, and plentiful. Halfway to our holiday destination, it was a perfect stop on both the outward and return journeys. A wonderful discovery! The setting is lovely, the welcome particularly warm, and the dishes are both generous and delicious—a real treat. The service is attentive, even when busy, which is much appreciated. A very good experience: I will gladly return as soon as the opportunity arises.

What a delightful discovery this traditional restaurant is, housed in a charming period building where modernity meets authenticity. If you haven't yet tried the "Poulet Gaston Gérard," a quintessential Burgundian dish, come and discover it, as the chef, a local, had the brilliant idea of ​​adding it to the menu. But you won't be disappointed either, with more modern dishes like the pollack with its perfectly cooked, seasoned, and beautifully presented julienne of vegetables. Indulge in their homemade desserts: the orange tart or the chocolate/caramel tart, as well as their artisanal ice creams. Personally, I fell for the chocolate/caramel tart, to which I added a scoop of "mint-infused" ice cream – a truly surprising treat! And let's not forget the service, with its very welcoming and attentive staff.

We loved it, and the children's menu was very good. The garden is getting ready for spring, we can't wait to come back when the weather is nice!
