De la Porte Saint-Pierre sur Saint-Malo

My father and I came to Saint Malo to stay at Hotel de la Porte Saint Pierre. Tiffany, at the main desk welcomed us very nicely. Her husband David runs breakfast and a bar/restaurant across the street and their son helps. They too were very welcoming. At first, we were given a room on the 4th floor (for Americans this is the 5th floor). We absolutely loved the room and the view, but unfortunately my father's leg gave him trouble going up/down the stairs. Tiffany was able to change our room to the 2nd floor which my dad could handle better. We felt she really helped accommodate his needs. We were extremely happy with our stay while we were there for 4 nights. The hotel offers breakfast acros the street. There is a very nice selection of sweet treats, cheese, a soft boiled egg station, coffee, and juices. Think "light breakfast". The hotel is literal steps away from the city's ramparts where one can walk and take in the ocean views. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel and their staff who, im my opinion, work very hard as a family to make sure people enjoy their stay. I just stayed here for several days and truly enjoyed this hotel. The family & staff are kind and welcoming, my room seemed newly renovated was very comfortable. The cafe/bar across the street is a great place to cool off with a plate of fresh oysters. The magnificent beach is only steps away and changes every hour due to the dramatic tide. Thank you for such a pleasant stay!

Excellent location in the heart of the ramparts. The room was modern but small. The bathroom was tiny; getting out of the shower without brushing against the sink was difficult. There was no ventilation, which is surely a problem in the summer, and no minibar. The windows were covered in bird droppings.

A superb little Logis hotel! We chose it by chance… and it was… perfect! We had a superb room with a sea view on the top floor… Excellent service… Our contact person was very friendly and professional… with excellent advice… A Logis hotel within the walls of St. Malo with very affordable rates… compared to other overpriced establishments within the city walls. Please note that the hotel has four floors and no elevator. We will definitely return… Thank you!

Small, fully renovated hotel. Ideally located in the old town, next to the ramparts with a magnificent view of the Bay of Saint-Malo. Very welcoming. Highly recommended.

Excellent Sunday brunch and a very pleasant spot within the city walls, right by the beach with a magnificent view of the nearby bay. I've been going there regularly for several years and I'm never disappointed. The people are lovely and down-to-earth, and very welcoming! I highly recommend it without hesitation.

A renovated hotel where life is good! Quiet and so well located. The sea is right on the doorstep! The manager's welcome is exceptional. Cleanliness and hygiene are impeccable. The breakfast and brunch area is warm and peaceful. The family team is fantastic! And the food is delicious! A natural friendliness that's a pleasure to share. Only one thought in mind: to return!
