D'Eux-Mêmes sur Rouen

I went there for dinner with my wife and her father. I ordered the lamb shank (€28) because it's my favorite meat when it's cooked properly. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed because the piece of meat looked beautiful, but it wasn't cooked correctly. It easily deserved two more hours... The meat was still stuck to the bone. It also had a very strong flavor (much more so than a well-braised lamb shank). So yes, very disappointed... The wine list was very good; the Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois at €39 a bottle was excellent. 👌 The cheeses were very mature... (perhaps even a little too much?). We also battled a swarm of midges (and unfortunately, this was also the case on our last visit). The waitress offered us homemade limoncello, which was very kind, but it didn't make up for our overall experience, unfortunately. 🙏

Group meal...60 people. Efficient and well-paced service. Very pleasant staff. Excellent meal. Beautifully presented and flavorful dishes. Quality wine selection. We had a lovely evening.

A very pleasant evening, delicious and generous meals. The menu prices were totally affordable for the quality; it was fantastic and a very enjoyable evening.

A very pleasant evening and excellent food. The only downside was the rosé wine, which was €1.50 more expensive than the menu price. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

I had dinner at this restaurant last night and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was really pleasant. A huge thank you especially to the waitress who took care of us; she was incredibly kind, smiling, and very attentive throughout the meal. This kind of service truly makes a difference and makes you want to come back! I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you again for a lovely evening!

The quality of the food, the friendliness and service of the waitstaff, and the pace of the meal service were all excellent. A wonderful time celebrating our wedding anniversary. P.S.: Indicating the location of the restrooms would be a plus and would avoid having to ask the staff repeatedly.

Excellent cuisine with beautiful presentation from appetizer to dessert. The service started off very well, with staff who were always smiling and polite, but we waited over an hour for our desserts despite asking three times. It's a shame you don't take action against customers who vape at their table while the waitress brings the drinks, unless this is tolerated in your establishment.
