Diego Plage sur Arcachon

My boyfriend and I came to eat here last night. It's wonderful to find a modern, good-quality restaurant with great value for money right by the sea in Arcachon. The restaurant is beautiful, and the food is delicious and affordable for a place like Arcachon. We were also served by Kiss, an attentive and caring waiter who brought a real sense of joy to the table. Thank you so much, we'll definitely be back!

The food was delicious and the service was truly delightful. A huge thank you to our server, who was incredibly kind, funny, and attentive. When my mother couldn't eat the vegetables that came with her meal, he immediately agreed to replace them with mashed potatoes, which he brought back to us a few minutes later. He had a real eye for detail and was always attentive, making sure we had everything we needed, and regularly refilling the water carafes. Thank you again for your kindness!

The location is cozy and pleasant to sit in, the food was very tasty, and the welcome from the owner (I think) was particularly warm and friendly. The staff were also very friendly the whole time and clearly did their best. The steak tartare was delicious: beautifully prepared, good quality, and perfect as a base. I seasoned it a little further myself with some pepper and Worcestershire sauce. The coffee was also surprisingly good. There were, however, a few minor points that could have been better. My gin and tonic came without ice (and no garnish such as a slice of lemon, lime, or juniper berries), causing it to get warm quite quickly. Additionally, I had to ask for mayonnaise twice, which was eventually brought in a small plastic cup. It also turned out that the salt shaker on our table was empty, as was the salt shaker at another table. We didn't arrive until around 2:30 PM, so the guys had already had a long and busy shift. I suspect that these small things were simply overlooked as a result. They worked hard and remained very friendly despite the busyness.

Oceanfront restaurant with a magnificent view, and what can I say about the food... the best fish we've ever eaten! The sea bream was so good I almost ate the bones! 🤣🤣 The tuna steak was also delicious! The atmosphere was great. I didn't give it 5 stars simply because the wait was quite long, but hey, on vacation, you don't mind it, you're totally relaxed 😉 If you're ever in the Arcachon Bay area, go check out Diego's, you won't be disappointed!
