Distillerie sur Gosnay

We had a lovely time at La Distillerie. The two young waitresses were incredibly friendly, smiling, and full of enthusiasm despite what seemed to be a difficult situation for them. Since the reopening, there's clearly been a staff shortage, which inevitably leads to some wait times, but the waitresses are absolutely not to blame: we saw them constantly running around the dining room during service, trying their best to manage the situation. They were very professional and pleasant from beginning to end. Unfortunately, the budget cuts are affecting the customer experience. On the other hand, the quality of the food hasn't changed since our last visit: the dishes are still delicious and prepared with high-quality ingredients. One minor drawback was the rather cold atmosphere, as the door was left open all evening. We were constantly in a draft, which somewhat spoiled the comfort of the meal. Despite this, I still recommend the restaurant for the quality of its cuisine and the professionalism of its staff.

We had become accustomed to the distillery's high-quality service over the past few years. However, during our recent visit this past weekend, we were particularly disappointed. The two young waitresses made a series of mistakes: - the drinks menu wasn't provided - they reused the beer glass to pour the second beer - they removed the dessert plate before the end of the meal… We weren't the only ones to experience these inconveniences: - half a table had an order wrong - the steak tartare was prepared with long, fake nails (not very hygienic) - the coffee was served, and it overflowed into the saucer. To top it all off, the presence of Spotify and its background ads isn't exactly appropriate for the setting and only reinforces the amateurish nature of the service. It's a shame; after Robert 2, we've lost another great spot! Let's hope Vasco doesn't follow suit!

The meat is excellent. The fries are truly local, cooked in beef fat. The portions are generous.

Very nice and good restaurant, I would just like to suggest that it's missing a little sauce with the meat, even though there is maître d'hôtel butter which is very good by the way, the fries finished with a little pepper sauce would be perfect.

Perfect, pleasant and good food, very good value for money. I recommend it.

We had a wonderful time, the meal was excellent, the service impeccable, and the waitresses very pleasant.

Not my first time, but I was disappointed with the menu. The dishes were served adequately, and the waiters were very friendly, but unfortunately, they couldn't make up for the shortcomings of the food, especially considering the price. The main course lacked seasoning, and the dessert (chocolate tartlet) was truly disappointing. It's a shame because the place itself is very pleasant.

This wasn't our first visit, and we'd always been satisfied until now, but this time we were left a little disappointed. The main letdown was the service, which seemed inexperienced and unsupervised: it felt like there was no head waiter. For example, no one asked if we'd like a wine to pair with the foie gras, and we had to constantly ask the servers for what's normally offered automatically when the dishes are served. The wine list is also quite limited (no sweet wines, in particular. A bit of a shame with foie gras...). The turkey dish arrived incomplete compared to the menu: no stuffing, no chestnuts, no onions, no bacon, but an endive was included. Finally, a door at the back of the room was constantly left open, creating rather unpleasant drafts. It's a shame, because the food was good, but the accumulation of these small details somewhat marred our Christmas meal.
