Beautiful surrounds, the gardens, pool, games room, the traditional architecture was so well designed. As a family we really enjoyed the pool, the games room and the proximity to the Loire a velo so we could further enjoy cycling in the region. Beds were very comfortable and beds were made daily and fresh towels provided, air con worked well. Dining was very traditional French and families are welcome. On the downside, there isn't much choice in regard to food. There is a set menu for breakfast and dinner (no lunch) which were expensive and no other options with no shops in the vicinity for food. As I have food allergies I could not have the set menu so was left hungry until I cycled back to Saumur. I wouldn't stay here again without a car. There was also no laundry.
