Domaine Restaurant sur Francheville

A huge thank you for this wonderful experience! We came about a month ago for my girlfriend's birthday, and we were absolutely delighted with the welcome and service. I had simply requested a small romantic upgrade for our room, without expecting anything in particular… and what a wonderful surprise it was when we arrived! The room was beautifully decorated with rose petals everywhere, lovely decorations on the towels, macarons, fruit juices, lots of little touches, and a personalized welcome note. All of this was offered free of charge, which touched us deeply. A huge thank you for your kindness, your professionalism, and all the thoughtful touches that made this moment even more special and unforgettable. The welcome was perfect, and everyone there was lovely. We will definitely be back!

My review of this accommodation is based solely on the location and the room, as we neither ate at the restaurant nor had breakfast. The place itself is beautiful and exudes serenity. We returned from our evening out shortly after midnight (we had checked in beforehand), and we couldn't get in. We called reception, but it was closed, and the 24/7 emergency number didn't work either. Finally, we were able to enter the building through the back; the sliding doors worked without a card or code. The room is spacious, quite well laid out, and very clean, but the bed creaked loudly, and there was a very strong (almost nauseating) smell of sewage in the bathroom, especially in the morning. What a shame…

Beautiful setting, magnificent park, just a few minutes' drive from Lyon. Very good food at the restaurant.

A peaceful, secluded atmosphere, clean rooms Everything started well. First time using the shower... the showerheads proved to be rather unreliable, and the automatic bathroom light turned off before you'd finished showering... not very practical. As for breakfast... We arrived at 9:00 AM. There was no more bread in the baskets, and the buffet wasn't replenished regularly. An unpleasant waitress, wearing disposable gloves, fiddled with the buffet items, sometimes with the gloves... sometimes with the dirty breakfast trays, obviously using the same gloves... Disappointing in terms of value for money.

Beautiful place but difficult to access...

The place is magnificent, the setting is superb, and it's near Lyon, so very well located. Built in the 1920s for spiritual retreats for my seminarians, it was later converted into a hotel. The service is excellent, attentive, and professional. I'm not giving it 5 stars because, unfortunately, most of the rooms have small beds, and the old furniture makes it a bit too austere, but I had a good stay nonetheless, so thank you. The breakfast is also very good.

A lovely boutique hotel. It's a shame that a few things like an in-room safe weren't available. The staff were welcoming. The meals we had there were excellent.

The Mag 3 professional association of Allianz General Agents held its 2026 Annual General Meeting at the magnificent Lyon Saint-Joseph estate. I wanted to thank the entire estate team for their warm welcome, responsiveness, and professionalism. The facilities were spotless, the catering excellent, the working environment peaceful, and the technical resources were top-notch for organizing our workshops and conferences. The rooms are nice, but a coffee table would have been a nice addition. It's quiet and peaceful. The garden is lovely.

I organized a seminar at the Domaine. The sales team was fantastic, very responsive, and adapted perfectly to our needs. The seminar went incredibly well. The location is magical: peaceful in the heart of the city. The reception, sales, restaurant service, and management teams... everyone was incredibly attentive. The food was excellent, with beautifully presented and delicious dishes. The rooms were spacious. The meeting rooms were very well-appointed, and the amphitheater was superbly laid out. Thank you all for these two wonderful days at your Domaine; we were all captivated.
