Strolling through the historic center of Rennes, you can find these gates in the old town, providing access through the ramparts. They are beautifully restored, and the entire area is now very popular, with restaurants, terraces, and a lively atmosphere, as well as stunning stonework. All of this is near the cathedral and highly recommended.

Two ancient towers mark the ancient, probably the only, gateway to the city.
It would be interesting to visit the interior; there aren't many information panels.

It was already a wonderful place to discover for those willing to stray from their usual route, and now, thanks to recent improvements, an even more beautiful section of Rennes' old ramparts is revealed. A small piece of the walls from our Gallo-Roman ancestors is even visible!
