Domino's Rennes - Centre, France sur Rennes

Les Portes Mordelaises is the name given to this ancient 15th-century fortified gate and its twin towers. They are very well preserved and make a striking impression upon arrival, as if you've stepped back in time to the city's medieval era. Furthermore, their historical significance is noteworthy, since the Dukes of Brittany traditionally entered through this fortified gate to be crowned in the cathedral. It's a worthwhile stop for the surrounding area and the imposing defensive architecture, although the monument itself can be explored very quickly, serving more as an essential photo opportunity within Rennes' old town than a place to linger.
