Douce Quietude sur Saint-Raphael

Our stay at this campsite was wonderful. A major plus is the private bathroom at each pitch. Unfortunately, our booked pitches were too small upon arrival, but the incredibly helpful and friendly staff were able to easily rebook/move us to other pitches – all without any hassle. The pool took some getting used to, as only bare feet are allowed, which was unusual for us. They were also quite strict regarding food and drink, but ultimately understandable. The location is lovely, though a bit outside the town center. A real highlight was seeing the wild boars at night – quite an experience! This has certainly helped keep the campsite very clean ;-) Highly recommended, especially considering the high prices in the surrounding area of ​​the Côte d'Azur.

A very large campsite with many attractions. The swimming pool is great. It wasn't really suitable for us as a couple, as we prefer peace and quiet. The campsite is fantastic for children; they'll have a blast. It's very well organized. Still, it was lovely.

We spent two weeks at this campsite during the May 2025 holiday. We had our own caravan and pitched on a site with private sanitary facilities. Everything was great: a lovely spot, good sanitary facilities, and the campsite itself was also fantastic. We always try to visit a different campsite and never the same one twice. But this campsite is perfect for the May holiday. The swimming pool is very nice and clean. Our three daughters loved the entertainment, including our daughters aged 11 and 12. They spent a whole day rehearsing for a show that was performed in the evening. The surrounding area is fantastic; everything is close by. You can easily drive to Saint-Raphaël and Frejus. The beach is pleasant during the May holiday, and parking is available nearby. Monaco and Cannes are easily accessible, and the back roads are beautiful. We will definitely be back, and we're already thinking about the May 2026 holiday.

Perfect. The staff were very attentive. Special mention to the supermarket manager, who was always smiling and kind.

We found excrement on the terrace upon arrival, a hornet's nest under the mobile home which was treated after several reminders, the pool door slams shut every time it is opened (several times per minute), making it noisy for the restaurant right next door and unpleasant when we are on the sun loungers, and some noisy holidaymakers late into the evening.

A very good campsite. I highly recommend it for families with children. Kids' club, evening entertainment, excellent restaurant with homemade food. Very friendly staff. Heated swimming pools. Lots of activities.

Beautiful, large apartment with two bedrooms and one bathroom, and a large terrace (we were on the ground floor). The restaurant is simple but excellent if you don't feel like cooking. The beds were quite hard.

"I don't understand?!" I can't understand why Sandaya places so little emphasis on service—especially now during the autumn holidays. At least, that's our impression this year. When we arrived stressed after a long drive in the evening, we weren't greeted like loyal, welcome guests. No "Welcome" or "It's great to have you back." Instead, we were accused of having an outstanding bill from our summer holiday: for a high chair and a baby cot. We explained that we had always paid everything directly by card and that nothing about it had been mentioned at checkout. The staff, however, made us feel like we were lying and even gossiped about it amongst themselves in French—my wife speaks French, after all. After we were able to prove that we had paid everything in the summer, the key was simply handed over without a word. Very unpleasant. ' ... The next unpleasant surprise came upon entering the mobile home: Due to our late arrival and our small children, we had booked the "beds made" service in advance and, just to be safe, called ahead. Of course, the beds weren't made. There weren't even enough sheets and towels in the house. Oh well, we thought, weary, we'll sleep on it. Over the next few days, we realized that "premium" doesn't necessarily mean premium: missing clothes hangers, a broken bed frame, a mismatched mess of dishes, and a constantly clogged toilet showed us that the house hadn't actually been checked before our arrival. Oh, and the incredibly unfriendly receptionist, who had been so unfriendly on our arrival day, just kept repeating "I don't understand" with every new incident. She'd apparently forgotten the sign indicating her English skills. When you also consider the now frequently unheated and neglected pools (verdigris in the water), you just have to say it: Close the campsite earlier if you're not interested in running it at the end of the season! But of course, there are exceptions among the staff, especially the security personnel, who are always friendly. Thank you for that.

As a regular Sandaya camper, I found this one very average for several reasons: - The accommodation: it was the first time I'd rented a mobile home (291) that was falling apart. The toilet floor was sagging, causing the toilet to tilt; very unpleasant... 🫤 - The campsite: the pitches are crammed together with very little space for vehicles. It requires maneuvering every time you move, and you have a view of your neighbors. The facilities are old (playground) and lack charm (restaurant). The small supermarket and the man who runs it are a saving grace. The swimming pool is nice too, but it gets crowded very quickly. - The location: situated in the hills and away from the town, you need a vehicle to get around. However, it's extremely noisy due to the planes flying over the area day and night. You can even hear the turbines speeding up and down... I came once but don't plan to come back.
